Art Beyond Boundaries 2021 at The National Art Center, Tokyo.
I went to set up an exhibition. I'm particularly excited because I could challenge various techniques on my works.
After hearing the words "Don't stop the art" from my master, many participating works from overseas were gathered.

今年は蟹。
ちょうど宮沢賢治の「やまなし」を読んでいるクラスの子たちは、蟹の兄弟のはなしなんだとかいろいろ話を聞かせてくれました。作った作品を教室に飾ってくれたとか。
今年も創造性あふれる素晴らしい作品ができました。

1998 CAFE SHOZOを中心にしたエリアに集まる方々は素敵な方が多く、直接お話しできる機会はとても有意義で楽しいものでした。
私にとって一週間在郎することでじっくり作品と対面する時間にもなりましたし、天気や光の変化で作品の表情が変化する場にも立ち会えました。
墨の作品を見る機会は少ないとのことで、みなさんとても熱心に見ていただけました。ずっと座って空間を楽しんでくださる方も。

I taught sumie for Japan Day at ISSI.
It's a festival once in a year for students to experience Japanese culture, koto, hand-made buckwheat noodle, washi picture , kimono wearing, etc., about 30 courses.
Students were enjoying it, worked hard and made their beautiful works. I proud of hem.

皆さまの声に後押ししていただき、2015年カレンダーやっと出来上がりました～！
2015年カレンダーは、A3よりもひと回り大きい美濃手漉き和紙(楮紙)一枚に、スミ色単色で印刷することで、作品部分をオリジナルのイメージに近づけることができました。手漉き和紙の風合いにかすれやにじみ、色の濃淡がよくなじんでいます。最後に印を押して完成です。朱色の印がいいアクセントになっています。
タイミングを同じくして、ユネスコ無形文化遺産に和紙、日本の手漉き和紙技術が登録されましたね。日本の誇る和紙の風合いも楽しんでいただけたら嬉しいです。

Breath-n-Brushカレンダーの5月6月用にはサッカーの絵を配しました。
今年の5月6月は女子アジアカップや男子ワールドカップなどサッカーの試合が盛りだくさんっ！既に女子はアジアカップで優勝：）
私は世界で一流と言われるサッカー選手の技の美しさ、流れるような連携、心理戦、頭脳戦。。。とサッカーはとても美しく面白い気づいてからワクワクが止まらなくなってしまいましたっ：）
2011年の女子ワールドカップで日本が優勝した試合を見たときの興奮と感動は忘れられません！今でも、録画した物やあのときを振り返るVTRなど見るとウルッときてしまいますっ！
暗く落ち込んでいた日本に感動と勇気と与えてくれた試合でした〜
いよいよ待ちに待った6月！サッカーを楽しみながら応援したいです。

2014年カレンダーができました!
私の作品を見て“息遣いを感じる”と表現してくれた友人がいました。
呼吸。。。あまりに当たり前すぎて、自分の息遣いに気に留めることは少ないのでは？
このカレンダーをふと目にしたとき、自分の息遣いに気づくきっかけになればいいなと思ってます。

Sunrise from Blue Thunder, a poetry anthology by Pirene's Fountain, edited by Amy Kaye, is as a response to the Japan earthquake and tsunami.
Many great poets contribute their poetry to this book.
